There is no password on BoatDocked, in demo or in live. In live mode the door is your electronic ID — BankID, MitID or eIDAS.
This is a demo identity. There is no password and no check — picking a name here proves nothing about who you are. In live mode this page is BankID, MitID or eIDAS. Nothing you do while signed in as a demo identity can take real money.
I'm the yard? — See a book somebody gave you access to, and log the work you did. Your name goes on it.
I just bought a boat? — Empty book. Redeem a handover code and her whole history lands in it.
A name you create here is held by the cookie in this browser and by nothing else. Sign out and it is over for good on this instance — the name stays taken and we cannot give it back, because nothing here could prove it was yours. Only the identities above can be picked up again.
Your session lives in a signed cookie, not a database. It ends when this server restarts, and on a shared demo a refresh can land on a different server and sign you out. We would rather say that than pretend the session is durable.
